Birth Learning Doula Services provides education and support from some of the most professional and experienced doulas in Utah. Between us there are nearly 30 years and 1,500 births of experience to help you prepare for a positive birth experience. We work in teams of two douals. Hi, I’m Angie Rosier
I’ve been a doula in Salt Lake City, UT, since 2003, and have helped over 750 couples during childbirth. I have been DONA certified and have assisted at births in 16 different Salt Lake City area hospitals, 4 local birth centers, and homes. I enjoy spending time with each couple, helping them learn what to expect and gain useful tools for positive childbirth. I’ve served on the Utah Doula Association board for 12 years and am a former UDA president. I love, love, love this work and feel honored to be a part of Birth. My clients have taught me so much and enriched my life. I have five awesome kids who keep me busy and I’m married to a wonderful husband who supports me in every endeavor– even in being on-call 24/7 year after year. I’m working toward ICEA childbirth educator certification, and have a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Studies from Weber State University. Call Angie: 801.815.6053
Hi, I’m Robynne Carter
After assisting friends and family in childbirth for over 25 years, I was drawn to doula work and certified as a DONA birth doula in 2010. I also trained as a CAPPA postpartum doula and am working on ICEA childbirth education certification. I’ve attended nearly 400 births including successful VBACs, 12 sets of twins, and various high-risk situations. I love birth and the wonderful women and families I serve. My favorite part of being a doula is nurturing women as they transform into mothers. I also enjoy assisting partner involvement during labor. I cherish the pivotal experience of giving birth and strive to create positive, lasting memories. I enjoy preparing and supporting each couple respectfully and with the information they seek. Helping women of any background, culture, or faith to prepare for their cherished birth is an honor. I have five wonderful children of my own. I currently serve as the president of the Utah Doula Association and as a volunteer in the University of Utah Hospital volunteer doula program. Call Robynne: 801.550.6088
Hi, I’m Rachel Britton
I’ve been a doula since 2007 and have certified through DONA International. I have helped hundreds of couples prepare for childbirth and assisted at births in 18 different Salt Lake area hospitals, birth centers, and in homes. I trained for a year with a licensed clinical hypno therapist and I have extensive experience helping couples with many types of relaxation and coping techniques, including: oils and aromatherapy, touch and massage, guided imagery, accupressure, and more. I enjoy attending conferences to remain current on the latest pregnancy, birth, and baby research. When I’m not working as a doula, I’m working as a mom to my three great kids. I serve on the board of the Utah Doula Association and am a former UDA president. I enjoy the opportunity to get to know couples and be present for one of the most important days in a parent’s life. It is a privilege to get to see life coming into the world! Call Rachel: 801.842.8775
What Mothers Say About Our Doula Services
We are so thankful for Angie’s amazing support throughout my pregnancy and birth. We always knew we wanted to have a natural childbirth but I honestly can’t imagine having our baby without Angie’s guidance and expertise. She was caring, strong, thoughtful and truly helped make the whole experience even more magical. She is a wonderful person and doula.Amanda H.
“My husband and I were fortunate enough to share the birth of our first child with Angie in October of 2011. I hadn’t really thought I was capable of having a natural birth, and Angie deserves so much credit for helping us make that happen. Physically and emotionally, she provided exactly the support I needed to birth our beautiful daughter. And she let my husband relax and enjoy the fun part! It was the most fulfilling and exciting day (and night!) of my life. Now I can’t move out of Utah, because I’m not giving birth without her.Nicole C.
Angie was incredible support leading up to, during and after delivery of our baby girl. She has an intelligence and strength that we were so grateful for when things didn’t go as planned with my birth – and with that she was able to employ skills that avoided me requiring a C-section. Angie helped us prepare with as much confidence as I could have hoped for. If we are lucky enough to have a second baby we will be calling on her again.Kathy R.
